Scott was specifically recommended by the Martin factory as the Luthier to see to recover a great instrument from a botched repair. He returned my beautiful 40+ year old D18 to its old self, and more. He improved the playability to a degree I had never imagined was possible.
Many thanks, Byron
I can't thank you enough for the work you did on my guitars. In my whole life I've never had them playing so easily and sounding so good. In addition, your analysis and advice have been invaluable. Thank you.
I wanted to take time out to thank you for saving my 1990 Fender Stratocaster. The neck was perputaully bowed, so I took it to a guitar repair shop in Monmouth county, NJ. The man told me to throw out my guitar, it was a lost cause. Naturally I was heartbroken. Thankfully, I was directed to you. I am so glad I didn't listen to "Bob". This guitar has great sentimental value to me and you saved it. You worked your magic and now this guitar will be with me for life. Your professionalism, attention to detail and passion for what you do, are truly unique and can't be taken for granted. It is especially fitting that I send you this e-mail before Thanksgiving. I am truly thankful for the work done on my guitar.
Gratefully, Mike Sullivan
Thank you for the fine job you did on my Martin. You were right, it plays even better than before, the sound is consistant across the instrument, it breathes, and the intonation is the best it's ever been.
-Larry DeMarco, Director of Marketing, Korg USA, Inc.
Just a note to let you know I received the Taylor "Horses" guitar today. It
looks great! The finish looks excellent. Also, the neck reset is superb.
The playing action is quite remarkable!!
Thanks for your care, and regards,
My guitar arrived yesterday at the bookstore. It arrived in good condition, no shipping problems. I tuned it up last night and it held tune well overnight. I am very happy and somewhat amazed to have it back.
You did a wonderful job. As you predicted I can of course see some traces of the damage and repair to the headstock, but that was hardly unexpected --looking at the post-crash photos I am amazed all over that my guitar could even be made playable again, much less restored and repaired as well as you have done. The other fixes not related to the crash, like the restored pickguard and frets, are also well done.
It looks and sounds wonderful. The action seems easier than before…Far as I am concerned you are a miracle worker. Short of your sending Tony Rice or Tommy Emmanuel along to do that first tune-up and a little demo, I can't think of anything that would have made things any better at this end.
- Jim Upchurch
You are the "miracle man." Thank You Scott. A piece of my heart is back in place.
Scott, I am SOOO happy. You did an amazing job and I cannot believe that I am able to play every night. It means so much to me. Who can/should I contact to give my testimonial? Please give me names and addresses so I can scream at the top of the mountain about your service.
Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how happy and thrilled I am with the work you did on my PRS. It's playing better than it did when I first received it!! I LOVE it.
Hello Scott, Received the banjo yesterday afternoon. It looks and sounds great! That banjo has been in storage for about 15 years and it was passed down to me by my grandfather about 50 years ago. So it was like meeting an old friend and I stayed up quite late last night playing it. Thanks again, Bill Glover

I just wanted to thank you first of all for hooking me up with Monty at Musicland to get such a great deal on the new Strat. Secondly, thank you for doing a fine job setting it up. I played it all weekend on my gigs and it felt fantastic! I look forward to what will be another fine job on the old Strat.
-Jeff Mattson (The Zen Tricksters)
Sorry I haven't written you back, but I've been too busy showing off the fantastic work you did! I am extremely pleased with the professional quality of work you did with my Gretsch. It looks and plays better now, than when I originally received it. It was well worth the wait. The binding looks great and the neck looks like nothing had happened to it before. I have heard nothing but compliments on your work from the people that have seen the guitar since its return. I can see now why so many major guitar manufacturers ask for your help.
My family and I both thank you for taking such superb care of my guitar.
-Dustin, Booneville MS
__________________________________________________Scott, I received the 12-string guild last evening that you repaired. You reset the neck just right. The action is beautiful! And the sound is fantastic. Thanks for a job well done.
I have a tempermental 64 Gibson with a unique sound. Over the years, I have had to take it to Scott for some major surgery. Not only did he fix each problem, he did it in a way that allowed my guitar to keep its wonderful tone. I couldn't be more pleased.
Thanks so much for putting us back together when we were coming apart at the seams. The job you did on my broken neck was miraculous- it was so shattered I didn't think I'd ever be whole again, but you got us playin' again in no time! Thanks, Doc, you're the best!
Scott has taken care of my guitar, mandolin, and banjo. All of them sound and play better than ever before, and I've had them for over thirty years. I recommend him wholeheartedly!
Scott, Just wanted to thank you on what a great job you did with my guitar now that I've played it for a few hours. No buzzes, no dead spots and each note has a nice sweet ring to it. I also notice the nice work you did on the frets.
Thanks, Keith Boruf
Scott, I've been busy but meaning to write about the work done on my 74 sg that was recently completed. I want to thank you for all you've done.
the repair job was what I expected, based on the photos of your work I've seen. the fret work and setup was a major tune up on playability.
The guitar is even more fun to play--I need to take a day off and just spend 8 hrs playing it; as it is, I'm lucky to get a couple of hours in at night, and look forward to it while I'm at work. Thanks again for all your attention to the instrument. I only wish I were much closer to your shop so I could drop off my les paul to get minor work done!Best, -J
Im getting ready to call it a night, but I wanted to take a minute and thank you again for building me such a great guitar. I got to really get in touch with it today, and I found myself playing things I havent been able to play for years. It simply makes you a better player. To call it a "hot rod" is really the most accurate statement. Its got so much go in it, tons of tone, and with my amp, longer sustain than Santana had in the '70s. What a blast Im having with this. Before long, I'll be playing as good as I did when I was 25....Im forever grateful.
The guitar arrived yesterday. Thank you for getting it here before the weekend. Everything looks perfect and it sounds great. I can't see any of the dark marks I was expecting to see where the cracks were. Magic?
Thanks again. Tim
